Description

Phonak and Unitron Receiver Wire – £29.95. When you select to purchase a left and a right wire at the same time a reduced price of £57.95 is available.

This listing is for a receiver wire and NOT for a hearing aid.

Phonak Receiver Wires SDS 3.0 are compatible with all Receiver in Canal (RIC) hearing aids supplied by Phonak and Unitron (APART from the newest Phonak Audeo M (powered by Marvel) hearing aids which use Phonak Receiver Wires SDS 4.0, available from end November 2018) and are available as a Standard (xS) Receiver or a Power (xP) Receiver .

Phonak Receiver Wires SDS 4.0 are compatible with Phonak Audeo M (powered by Marvel) hearing aids, available from end November 2018 and are available as a Standard (S) Receiver, a Medium (M) Receiver or a Power (P) Receiver .

The two versions of wires are incompatible with each other, the easiest way to check is to look at the tip of the receiver wire.

See the image to the right, if your receiver wire tip (once you remove your dome or custom tip) in appearance looks like the top image (with the ridged effect at the tip) you should order Phonak Receiver Wires SDS 3.0

If it looks like the bottom image then you should order Phonak Receiver Wires SDS 4.0

Click here if your receiver wires are older than 2012

N.B. if you are wearing anything before Phonak Audeo Smart we need to supply a CRT Adapter Kit with the SDS 3.0 wire to make it compatible. Older Phonak hearing aids in the Phonak range this applies to are Phonak MicroPower, Phonak Savia Art CRT, the original Phonak Audeo and Audeo YES. Older Unitron hearing aids that also need the CRT Adapter Kit are Yuu Moxi, Latitude Moxi and Passport Moxi.

If you need to attach an adapter for older hearing aids click here for a video. If you do need an adapter or are unsure please email us once you place your order and we will supply free, otherwise if you ask us for an adapter after shipping the wire we will need to charge you to post out an adapter).

Any Phonak or Unitron hearing aids supplied after about 2012 are unlikely to need the adapter.

N.B. Phonak’s receiver wires were upgraded in design mid 2013 and have a slightly different appearance. SDS 3.0 receivers (the part that goes deepest into your ear canal) are slightly curved to aid fit, and the Power receivers (xP) are particularly much smaller than previously, now only slightly larger than a Standard wire (xS).

If you are using a custom tip (as opposed to domes) that was manufactured to the older SDS 2.0 receivers the newer SDS 3.0 receivers probably will not fit. If you are unsure please ask before ordering. SDS 2.0 receivers are no longer available.

For older versions of Phonak speaker wires (SDS 1.0 and SDS 2.0) you will see a number from 0 to 3 on the grey housing, it will be a red number for the right ear and a blue number for the left. A standard wire has a long straight thin housing and a power wire is bulkier and has a stepped appearance.

On the housing of the receiver wire you will see a coloured label, blue denotes a left wire, red denotes a right wire. The size and power of the wires is denoted in this way; the number is the size of the wire and the letters denote the power level. On a SDS 3.0 wire, if you see xS the wire is for a standard wire, xP is for a power wire. For a SDS 4.0 wire, S is for a standard wire, M is for a medium wire and P is for a power wire. The image above for instance shows a size 3, standard, right, SDS 3.0 wire, and below that a size 3, medium, left, SDS 4.0 wire.

If you don’t have a removal tool to change receivers we can supply one for £2.00, please order here.

If you are unsure how to change the receiver wires click here for a useful video. If you are still unsure please contact us for further instruction. If you have your serial numbers to hand please supply at the same time.

If you order the wrong size / type of receiver wire but can return unopened and in a re-saleable condition we are happy to replace with the correct item, however we cannot accept opened packets that we cannot re-sell.

Please select from the drop down boxes the type, size and side of wire.
