Starkey Remote Microphone + is designed to stream audio from different audio sources directly to your Starkey Livio and Evolv wireless hearing aids. It is not compatible with older Starkey wireless compatible hearing aids.
When worn by a distant speaker in noisy environments, the Remote Microphone + functions as an assistive listening device, overcoming distance, reverberation and noise. The Remote Microphone + can also interface with Bluetooth A2DP profile (for example, music on an android mobile phone), and has a Bluetooth Handsfree profile (for android mobile phone calls). Starkey Livioand Evolv accepts both types of audio in directly without Remote Microphone + from iOS devices, like for instance iPhone.
Remote Microphone + also works with loop systems and has a europlug socket to accept a Roger X universal receiver if used with a Phonak Roger system. Also the device can accept audio in via a 3.5mm to micro USB cable.
Starkey Remote Microphone + can be set to an omni or a directional microphone mode and has a transmitting distance of approximately 20 metres.
This product will work with Starkey Livio and Evolv wireless hearing aids, older products prior to this please ask.
You can pair the device to your hearing aids yourself without the help of a hearing professional, simply turn your hearing aids off, put the device into pairing mode and then switch your hearing aids back on. Place the hearing aids within 6 inches of the device. They will shortly pair to the device automatically.
